Gilding is the
age-old application of very fine sheets of pressed gold, referred to known
as "gold leaf", to a surface. Pending on budged and design of
each project, our leafs range from Composition Silver, Copper
or Gold to 9K White Gold, colored leafs
to the classical 24 Karat Gold, mostly imported from
Germany or France.
Gold leaf is most commonly seen in architecture, furniture, and sign lettering.
Ancient examples of the gilding craft encircle the globe, from the fertile
Nile River basin to the Great Wall of China, and throughout the palaces
of 18th and 19th Century Europe.
